Dr. Nakia McCall is a lifelong educator with more than 28 years of experience serving students, families, and school communities. As the Executive Director of Georgia Digital School, she is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed. She believes that strong partnerships between schools and families are the foundation of student success and works to ensure every family feels informed, connected, and valued.
Throughout her career, Dr. McCall has served as a teacher, instructional coach, curriculum specialist, principal, academic administrator, and executive director. These experiences have shaped her belief that every child deserves to be known, challenged, supported, and inspired. She is passionate about helping students reach their full potential while supporting educators in providing high-quality, personalized learning experiences.
A proud North Carolina native, Dr. McCall often describes herself as a “Carolina girl in a Georgia world.” She is the proud mother of four and the wife of a retired United States Marine. Family has always been at the center of her life and continues to inspire her commitment to serving children and supporting parents. Outside of school, she enjoys all things creative—from crafting and decorating to designing engaging learning experiences—and believes that creativity helps spark curiosity, joy, and lifelong learning.
Dr. McCall’s leadership has been recognized nationally, including being named one of Atlanta’s 50 Most Admired Women by Women We Admire. She is dedicated to expanding educational opportunities, building strong school communities, and preparing students for success in college, careers, and life.
Above all, Dr. McCall believes that education is about relationships. She is honored to serve the students and families of Georgia Digital School and looks forward to partnering with families to ensure every student is empowered to learn, grow, and thrive.
